I’ve lived through broken systems, faced the silence of institutions, and watched performative politics take priority over real people. That’s why I’m running — not to play the game, but to end it.
I believe in bipartisan problem-solving, facts over factions, and putting people over party.

Here’s what I’ll fight for in Congress — where real change begins at the federal level:

• Raise the federal minimum wage to $20/hour — because no one should work full-time and live in poverty.
   
• Expand federal protections for union rights, fair scheduling, and paid leave.
   
• Crack down on Wall Street speculation and corporate price gouging through aggressive SEC oversight.
   
• Increase federal funding for rural revitalization — reinvest in small towns, not just billion-dollar metro projects.

• Guarantee universal access to preventive, primary, and emergency care through a public-private hybrid model.
   
• Expand Medicare and Medicaid as public options — with auto-enrollment for the uninsured.
   
• Mandate price transparency and end surprise billing at the federal level.
   
• Lower Medicare eligibility age to 55 with phased public option enrollment.
   
• Invest in rural health clinics, mental health services, and telehealth via federal grants.
   
• Redirect federal “sin tax” revenues to healthcare equity initiatives.
   
• Establish a bipartisan congressional commission to monitor rollout and adjust policy for real-time needs.
   

K–12 (Federal Role Focus)

• Increase federal Title I and IDEA funding to close classroom gaps and support special education.
   
• Protect educator autonomy and defend inclusive, fact-based curricula from federal interference.

Higher Ed & Workforce Development

• Legalize adult-use marijuana federally — regulate like alcohol, tax like tobacco.
   
• Support state legalization efforts through federal tax incentives and equity grants.
   
• Decriminalize cannabis at the federal level and expunge non-violent convictions.
   
• Require public health and youth prevention programs in every state receiving cannabis tax revenue.
   
• Respect local control with opt-outs by public vote — no more bans by fiat.
   

• Reinstate VA mortgage assistance programs to prevent foreclosures.
   
• Oppose federal layoffs in VA healthcare staffing.
   
• Fully fund mental health care for PTSD, TBI, and trauma recovery.
   
• Protect inclusive healthcare for LGBTQ+ veterans.
   
• Preserve the meaning of Veterans Day — no political whitewashing.

Reproductive Rights

• Codify Roe v. Wade at the federal level.
   
• Defend bodily autonomy and oppose abortion bans like Indiana’s.
   

LGBTQ+ Equality

• Pass the federal Equality Act.
   
• Ban conversion therapy nationwide.
   
• Protect trans youth from federal discrimination in education and healthcare.
   

Disability Rights

• Expand federal Medicaid access for disabled working adults.
   
• Oppose rollbacks to ADA protections and strengthen enforcement.
   

Racial Justice

• Fund federal programs to address disparities in health, education, and criminal justice.

• Create a federal Office for Digital Integrity.
   
• Regulate dominant platforms like public utilities — truth and democracy depend on it.
   

• Ban congressional stock trading — public service isn’t a payday.
   
• Enact term limits for Congress — it’s time to break the cycle of career corruption.
   
• Eliminate dark money in federal elections — no loopholes, no shell PACs.
   
• Enforce real-time campaign finance disclosures and ethics violations penalties.
   

• Introduce the Unity Pathway Act:
   • Fast-track citizenship for long-term undocumented residents who work, pay taxes, and meet strict criteria.
   • Cutoff date: Jan 1, 2018 — clear criteria, no loopholes.
   • No amnesty for violent criminals or repeat border crossers.
   • Keep families together and refocus ICE resources on dangerous offenders.
   • Fully self-funded through application fees — no burden on taxpayers.

My inspiration? Dr. Otis “Doc” Bowen — one of Indiana’s most beloved governors.
He led with heart, worked across the aisle, and always put people first.
I may not share his party, but I share his purpose.
